Terms of service

These terms cover any project or ongoing plan you purchase from Atelier ("we", "us"). By starting a project or paying an invoice, you agree to them.

1. Our services

We design and build custom websites under fixed-scope project types (Site Refresh, Full Redesign, New Website) as described on our Pricing page, plus ongoing plan services such as managed hosting and support once a site is live.

2. Payments & billing

Project prices are those shown at the time you purchase. Where installment payments are offered, all installments are due as scheduled regardless of project progress. Ongoing plan fees are billed monthly via the payment method on file (card, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle). Continued service depends on payments staying current.

3. Project scope & revisions

Scope is whatever we agree on in writing before work begins. Requests beyond that scope, or after a project has launched, are handled as a separate paid Upgrade rather than included automatically.

4. Intellectual property

Once a project is paid in full, ownership of the final site design and code transfers to you, excluding any third-party licensed assets (such as stock photography, fonts, or plugins), which remain subject to their own licenses.

5. Your responsibilities

Projects move at the pace of the feedback, content, and account access we're given. Delays on your end may shift the delivery timeline.

6. Cancellations & refunds

Deposits are non-refundable once work has started. Any unused portion of a package may be refunded at our discretion for work not yet performed.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Our services are provided "as is." We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in question.

8. Termination

Either party may end an ongoing engagement with reasonable notice; fees already due remain payable.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
