Work with us

Atelier stays small on purpose. That means we add people one at a time, for work that already exists rather than headcount we hope to fill later.

Here is what is on the table at the moment.

Open roles

Appointment Setter — outbound calls

Taking applications

Remote · United States · Commission only · Set your own hours

You call small businesses that have no website, or one that is long past its best, and book a consultation for us. You are not selling or quoting on the phone; you are finding the owners who want to see what a website would do for them.

  • $300 for every website we close from a consultation you booked, rising to $400 on results. The rate does not change with the size of the project.
  • Paid within seven days of the client's deposit clearing. Once a commission is earned it is never clawed back.
  • We give you the list. Businesses are assigned to you in batches, with the name, trade, phone number and what to say.
  • Training videos, a call script, objection notes and a pitch builder are all in your portal from day one.
  • No fees, ever. You will never be asked to pay for leads, training or anything else.

Designers and front-end developers

Portfolio always welcome

Freelance or contract, project by project

Most people who end up working with us start on a single project. We are interested in:

  • Strong visual craft and an eye for typography, spacing and detail
  • Comfort hand-writing clean, accessible HTML, CSS and JavaScript — we do not use page builders
  • Clear, direct communication with clients, not just with a project manager
  • A portfolio of real, shipped work you can point to

What happens after you write

  1. Your email comes to Nathan, who runs the studio. Not a recruiter, and not an inbox nobody reads.
  2. You get a reply, usually the same day and rarely longer than two. If the answer is no, you will be told it is no rather than left wondering.
  3. For the calling role, a short set of questions by email — honest answers, not polished ones.
  4. Your portal account, your first list of businesses and the training videos, all in the same week.

Worth knowing before you write

The calling role is commission only, with no hourly pay while you are making calls. It suits someone who wants their own hours and is prepared for the first couple of weeks to be practice. It does not suit someone who needs guaranteed money this month, and we would rather say so here than after you have started.

We read every application. Tell us which role you are writing about and, if it is the calling one, when you can usually make calls.
